The IEP Process & Parents' Rights

The Autism Society of Montgomery County, Maryland; the Arc Montgomery County, and the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County will present a workshop called "Tools for School: The IEP Process and Parents' Rights" on December 11 from 7 to 9 pm.

Josie Thomas of the Parents' Place of Maryland, will present at the workshop. Topics to be covered include: how to request an IEP meeting and evaluations, practical work on writing goals and objective, an explanation of what facilitated IEP meetings are and how to request one, who are the team members, and what to do when something goes wrong. Parents will have an opportunity to ask questions.

The workshop will take place at the Arc of Montgomery County (11600 Nebel Street) in Rockville.
