Using Technology to Increase Independence and Achievements

SEEC (Seeking Equality, Empowerment, and Community for People with Developmental Disabilities) will present a meeting on Using Technology to Increase Independence and Achievements at Home, in the Workplace, and in the Community.

SEEC Director of Information and Assistive Technology, Mike Mullenix, will present at the meeting, to be held September 28 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

This open meeting for SEEC families and all interested community members will be held in the third floor conference room at SEEC Headquarters (8905 Fairview Road) in Silver Spring. To ensure that enough materials are on hand for everyone, please RSVP to Wendy at wbaumert@seeconline.org.

The meeting will consist of a multi-media presentation of how SEEC uses technology to maximize effective communication; a hands-on demonstration of the equipment SEEC uses; a discussion of new technologies focusing on the iTouch, iPad, and iPhone; a question and answer session, and light refreshments.
