The U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights will host a Technical Assistance Conference on Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 on September 24 from 4 to 7:30 p.m.The conference is intended for parents of students with 504 plans from several school districts, including Montgomery County Public Schools.
Topics will include your rights and obligations under the laws OCR enforces as well as navigating section 504 and educational services for students. There will be time for questions and answers.
The conference will take place at Faulkner Ridge Center (10598 Marble Faun Lane) in Columbia. Light refreshments will be served and registration will take place through out the conference.

5:40-5:55: Break
6-7:20: Navigating Section 504 and Educational Services for Students
7:20-7:30: Closing and Final Remarks
