Inclusion Classes at Imagination Stage

Imagination Stage will offer several classes this fall for students with disabilities. In addition to the classes listed below, thereis one for K-2 students with Down Syndrome.

Creative Drama Across the Spectrum (Class #8261): For students grades 2-5. Class is held Sundays October 3-December 12 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This class is designed specifically for students with autism and autism spectrum related disorders. This class uses drama, music, movement, and art to help students explore new and familiar stories using their body, voice, mind, and imaginations. Tuition is $250.

Access the Actor's Tools (Class #8262): For students grades 5-7. Class is held Sundays October 31-December 12 from noon to 1 p.m. Designed for students with autism and autism spectrum related disorders, this class will introduce students to techniques for creating sustainable and believable characters on stage through the use of the actors' tools of body, voice, mind, and imagination. Tuition is $150.

Access Shakespeare! (Class #8263): For students ages 14-21. Class is held Mondays October 18-December 6 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This workshop is designed for teens with cognitive or developmental disabilities. Students will work on body awareness, movement, projection, breath control, and diction through theater games and as they explore the stories and portions of text from various Shakespeare plays. Tuition is $250.
