The Parents' Place of Maryland will offer a three-workshop series this fall to help parents sharpen their skills as their child's best advocate. The workshops are intended to help you become a more informed member of your child's IEP team.September 27: S.M.A.R.T. IEPs—writing effective goals and objectives.
October 25: Letting Go: A Focus on Transition—planning for your son or daughter after high school.
November 22: Discipline and Behavior in IDEA—effective behavior plans.
Meetings will take place from 5-8:30 p.m. at the Cork Gallery (302 East Federal Street, 4th Floor) in Baltimore.
