Gwen Mason, the director of special education for MCPS, and Vivian Boyd, the director of counseling services at the University of Maryland, will be speaking at a February 27 seminar on special needs kids.The seminar, which takes place from 10 a.m. to noon, is intended to promote a dialogue among educators and parents/guardians of children with special needs. Topics will include planning and directing your child's learning style and environment, seeking appropriate resources, maximizing your child's potential, and finding spiritual and legal guidance.
This seminar is sponsored by the National Council of Negro Women Potomac Valley Section (NCNW PVS) Education Committee.
