Workshop on Preventing Bullying

A new survey in Massachusetts found that nine of ten parents of children with autism say that their child has been a victim of bullying at school. Not only is that incredibly distressing news, but the parents further reported that the schools were not properly addressing the bullying.

Take a proactive step against bullying by attending MCPS Parent Academy's workshop on preventing bullying. "Bullying Hurts: How to Prevent It" will take place from 7-8:30 p.m. on November 16.

The session will provide information to raise awareness about the impact of bullying, identify the health risks for all involved, and identify steps for prevention.

The workshop will be held at John Poole Middle School in Poolesville (17014 Tom Fox Ave, 20837). You can register online.
