MCPS Transition Services will be holding another in its series of Next Step Workshops, covering school to adult living transitions. The next workshop, on October 14, is Montgomery College Night, when representatives from Montgomery College will present an overview of the range of programs the college offers.The presentation is intended for parents of children and young adults, ages 14-21, who receive special education services and are planning to attend community college, earn an associate's degree, transfer to a four-year college or university, or enter the job market.
The representatives will present information on disability support services, credit and non-credit programs, self-disclosure issues, and life-long learning opportunities.
The workshop takes place from 7-9 p.m. at Earle B. Wood Middle School (14615 Bauer Drive in Rockville).
