Sensory Showcase

Sensory Street is presenting a special sensory processing disorder awareness event on October 18 to help the community learn more about SPD and to help rise money for the SPD Foundation's push to include SPD in the next version of the DSM.

There will be several attractions at the noon to 3 p.m. event, including an SPD workshop presented by Rondalyn Whitney, a viewing of Autistic-Like: Graham's Story, an experience-sharing time for parents, Q&A discussion time, and a fundraiser raffle.

Space is limited to 50 adults who care for or work with children, so preregistration is required. Tickets are $40 each, $60 for a couple, and $55 for professionals. You can download the registration form online or contact Ida Zelaya with questions at 410-653-3867 or ida@SensoryStreet.com.

The event will be held at Your Prescription for Health (10210 South Dolfield Road, Owings Mills, MD).
