The Maryland Politics Watch blog recently posted the results of a Gonzalez poll in Maryland to see if voters would support an increase in the alcohol tax if those monies were specifically tied to funding for people with developmental disabilities. The post reports that out of 800 people polled in September, 75% favor would favor a tax increase and only 17% would oppose it.
The hypothetical tax was a five-cent per drink increase in the alcohol tax to fund services for people with disabilities.

I know I'd happily pay an extra nickel on a ten-dollar drink to increase funding for developmental disability services. What say you?
