Harnessing Technology for GT/LD Students

The GTLD Network will host a presentation on technology for GT/LD students on October 22.

The presentation is intended to help with students who are expected to be comfortable with the assistive technology they will use in college by the time they arrive.

Denise DeCoste, team leader for MCPS' High Incidence Accessible Technology (HIAT) Office, will review the general types of assistive technology available in MCPS and suggest ways in which parents can support their students at home in order to encourage use of these aids.

The speaker presentation is scheduled for 7:30-9 p.m., with open discussion and bring-your-own-dinner time from 6:30-7:30 p.m. It will be held in the Walter Johnson High School cafeteria in Bethesda (6400 Rock Spring Drive).
