MCPS Transition Services is offering five school-to-adult living transition workshops this fall and winter, with the first one, focused on Adult Services, taking place on September 22.Representatives from state and county agencies and the school system will present information about the Maryland Transitioning Youth Initiative for eligible students with significant disabilities. Local adult agencies will give information regarding the services they provide to eligible gradates.
The workshop will take place at Earle B. Wood Middle School (14615 Bauer Drive in Rockville) from 7-9 p.m.
The target audience for these workshops are families of students with IEPs, ages 14-21. Upcoming workshops are Montgomery College Night, Postsecondary Education, Integrated Employment and Vocational Training, and Independent Living, Community Participation, Continuing and Adult Education.
